A venue, an ambience

Every table at the Cordeillan-Bages restaurant offers a unique atmosphere. Its spacious and minimalistic décor is enhanced with paintings by artists such as Pierre Alechinsky, Antoni Tàpies, Tan Swie Han...
The dining room which can be hired exclusively for special events, offers bright openings onto the terrace and vineyard.

Allowing a glimpse of the wine cellar, the adjacent tasting room, provides an intimate setting for a small gathering, whether for a meeting or simply to enjoy a private meal. Its connecting garden terrace overlooks the 17th century turrets of the "chartreuse".

The local produce has turned the venue into a gastronomic mecca. The new presentation plates illustrating "La Véraison" - designed by Milan-based, interior architect Anne Monique Bonadei, are manufactured by Bernardaud in Limoges.

Whether in the kitchens at Cordeillan-Bages, on a private estate, in the vineyards, at the beach or in the village of Bages... For a meal to be enjoyed on or off the premises, we can offer something to suit every setting.

The arrival of a young and talented Chef in 2017

At 37, Julien Lefebvre has become the new Executive Chef at Cordeillan-Bages, and Catering Director for the Cazes family. He also oversees the menu at Café Lavinal in the village of Bages.

He found his calling thanks to a childhood in Normandy, a region with great gastronomy heritage; and a family who influenced his passion for cooking.
Today, he finds his inspiration by reading Escoffier and the discovery of local producers (caviar from Aquitaine, gambas and oysters from Saint-Vivien de Médoc, Faverolles poultry from the Vertessec farm...).
"I believe in the labor of local producers and wish to be the link between the produce and our guests."

Trained by Frédéric Anton at Le Pré Catelan***, Julien Lefebvre pursued his prestigious career alongside Mathieu Pacaud at the Parisian restaurants Histoires**, Hexagone* and the reopened Le Divellec*.

In 2018, he is awarded one Michelin star at Château Cordeillan-Bages, and a Bib gourmand at Café Lavinal.

The cellar

With over 1,800 wines, the wine list includes the Bordeaux grands crus and a very fine collection of wines from elsewhere. Arnaud Le Saux, Chef Sommelier at Cordeillan-Bages brings his stories of unusual encounters and discoveries into the subtle world of food and wine matching. The wine list was selected this January 2017 in the Top 18 wine list for the starred restaurants and Palace category in France, according to French magazine Terre de vins.
